Krav Maga OC Women's Self-Defense Seminar

25. October 2010 18:25

On Saturday, October 30th, Krav Maga of Orange County conducted a Women's Self Denfense Seminar.

This seminar for women focused on rape prevention techniques and tactics.  Participants were taught how to effectively defend themselves against an attacker with punches, kicks, elbows, and knees when in some of the worst case scenarios (bearhug, headlock, choke - standing or on the ground).  Krav Maga's practical approach to self-defense helps to make you be safer and more secure.

The KMOC instructors are all black belts in Krav Maga and have worked with law enforcement agencies and civilians throughout the U.S.

All the proceeds from this seminar were donated to the Susan G Komen 3-Day which benefits the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.

The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60 mile walk to raise funds to support breast cancer research, education and community health programs. The Breast Cancer 3-Day promotes breast cancer research and helps bring breast cancer care to those who so desperately need it.

FAST / KMOC Seminar

3. May 2010 20:28

The FAST training and seminar went well!  Students were put in uncomfortable, high stress situations and had to address potential attackers with assertiveness.  If the confrontations escalated into a serious, physical confrontation, they got to eye-gauge, punch, knee and kick attackers wearing bulletman suits.

In spite of the padding and protection these suits provide, Mike and Mitch report that taking a knee to the head is still an unpleasant experience!  You guys did a great job as attackers!!

We have two bulletman suits and plan to incorporate them into our Krav Maga training going forward.

Many thanks to all instructors and students who participated!

It's been a busy 12 months for KMOC!

29. April 2010 04:08

We've been extremely busy expanding our program over the last 12 months.  We've opened up TWO dedicated facilities, first in Mission Viejo and then on April 1st, our Irvine facility was completed exactly on schedule!

We hosted 3 seminars including special guest instructors from Israel teaching topics from general self-defense and combative skills to gun and knife defenses.

On May 1st, we'll be hosting an Adrenal Stress Training seminar where students will be able to test their fighting and self-defense skills under high stress situations allowing full contact defenses and counter attacks.

What's next?  We'll be expanding our schedule in Irvine in the coming months and we'll also be having some very high ranking Krav Maga instructors from the US and Israel for more special training!

We hope you can participate!
